To the Rude Space Invaders from the first couple screens:
h4x0: You talk as if all you do is PvP. Yet, I see you mining and escorting indies all the time, so dont try to pass off that "I am an UBER Pirate" crap. You play this game everyday for hours and hours, so you threats of not selling accounts but quiting are tantrums made by a child as far as I can see.
Pirates in general: Bloody well grow up! Just because MoO could not get over themsselves and could not prevent themselves from whining about every little aspect of the game they did not fin favourable, does not mean you have to following their footsteps and do the same. As far as I can read from many of the posts on this forum, miners might be carebears, but you pirates are the whine-bears of the universe.
Piracy is not suppose to be easy. Only those cunning enough and patient enough should be able to excel in a pirate atmosphere. You concerns with game mechanic changes are not based out of unfair balancing but comes from the fact you are "found wanting."
EVE dev's will never make it easy and profitable to be a pirate. You all know how long it takes to save for a Battleship. How dare some of you kill peoples time the way you do. You should really consider what you are doing at times. If you want to fight and kill so badly, go form an alliance or join one and declare war against another alliance. That way you are asured some measure of sport and risk, and you do not completely demoralize those players who just want to NPC farm etc...
These changes are right on!
I comment CCP for their hard work and efforts, and although there are times that this game really urks me, I have to realise and be honest with myself, I am only affected so much because I am addicted to this game. I am addicted to this game because it is a great game.
So to all those that shout and yell over and over again and threaten to leave, etc... Just leave and be quiet. Your empty threats are nothing more than that and you provide little to no good for the community or the advancement of the game.
Pirates are a special breed in EVE. The attack those that are weaker than them. When they are challenged they show up with 3v1 odds and mock those that rightfully run from such odds, and pirates in EVE take their plight to the forums with even great vehemance and slam the dev team that has handed them thsi gem of a game.
Leave or stay. Make up your minds guys.
Look towards the future and lets show the dev's we have intellects larger than the size of an omeba and provide so realy contructive criticism and proactive approaches to any further changes. Perhaps when we act more mature, the dev's will read our thoughts and comments instead of falling them for a few pages and then ignoring the thread all together.
Just a few thoughts I had.
Cya in the Universe, and you better not be mining in my area :)
